Taylor Swift Rewears ‘T’ Thigh Chain as a Necklace at Brittany Mahomes’ Birthday Party

Taylor Swift just brought back one of her most iconic pieces of jewelry.

To celebrate Brittany Mahomes’ 30th birthday over Labor Day weekend, Swift partied in Nashville with the KC Current cofounder in a black corset top and a very familiar necklace.

In an Instagram carousel shared by Brittany, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Swift, 35, could be seen with her head on the birthday girl’s shoulder. Instead of the orange lip she’s been rocking lately as part of her Life of a Showgirl era, she went back to her signature red lip. But the real star of her look was her “T” necklace that she first debuted at this year’s Grammys.

The chain, which she initially wore on her thigh, was designed in collaboration with her stylist, Joseph Cassell Falconer, and jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, features ruby heart stones and a bright red “T.” It perfectly matched her sequin micro mini by Vivienne Westwood (that was a clear nod to the Life of a Showgirl era to come).

Fans instantly connected the chain to Swift’s boyfriend at the time (now-fiancé!) Travis Kelce. The “Lavender Haze” singer further sent fans into a frenzy when she brought back the chain at the 2025 Super Bowl, where Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs were playing against the Philadelphia Eagles.

This time, however, she wore the chain as a necklace, much like she did this third time around.

For the game in February, Swift wore a crisp white Saint Laurent blazer. Underneath, she wore a white Alaïa bodysuit, denim shorts and white thigh-high Paris Texas boots. She carried a red Givenchy bag for contrast in support of the Chiefs. She wore her blonde hair down and in soft waves with her bangs tousled.

All of her jewelry was a nod to Kelce’s team. In addition to the “T” chain, she wore three pieces by EFFY Jewelry: the EFFY Yellow Gold Ruby and Diamond Ring, the EFFY Yellow Gold Baguette Cut Ruby and Diamond Band and the EFFY Yellow Gold Ruby and Diamond Bracelet. Swift added a Logan Hollowell Eau de Rose Cut Iris Diamond Hand Chain.

Swift’s appearance at Brittany’s birthday shindig comes on the heels of a whirlwind month for her. Most notably, she and Kelce got engaged just weeks prior and announced the big news on Aug. 26 with a joint Instagram post.

Alongside a set of floral-filled photos — featuring her massive engagement ring — the couple wrote in a caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”

Kelce proposed with a ring he designed with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. The dazzling stone is an old mine brilliant cut, which experts say could be worth up to $5 million.
