Sydney Sweeney ‘casually’ dating, hooking up with Scooter Braun
Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun are said to be “casually” dating.
The “Euphoria” star, 27, and record exec, 44, have already been on several dates since linking up earlier this summer, according to TMZ.
“Sydney has just ended a relationship and she’s doing what women in their 20s do – she’s dating,” one insider told the outlet.
Sources also confirmed their relationship status to People, telling the outlet, they are “casually hooking up.”
“Everything is casual. She is living her life and working hard,” a separate source said.
Sweeney and Braun first sparked dating rumors back in June when they were spotted together at Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star-studded wedding in Venice, Italy.
The romance speculation exploded this past weekend after a TikTok video resurfaced of the pair walking the streets of Venice with model Amèlie Tremblay.
“This is when I spotted Sydney Sweeney & Amélie Tremblay and Scooter Braun In Venice for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos Wedding Saturday Afternoon,” the person who captured the video wrote.
The Post has reached out to Sweeney and Braun’s reps for comment.
Sweeney, meanwhile, was also spotted chatting it up with former NFL star Tom Brady, 48, and Katy Perry’s ex, Orlando Bloom, 48, during Bezos and Sánchez’s $50 million Italian wedding weekend.
Before reportedly linking up with Braun, the controversial American Eagle model was engaged to producer Jonathan Davino, 42, from 2022 until earlier this year.
An insider close to Sweeney claimed that the couple’s relationship had been “rocky for a long time,” adding the “White Lotus” star “didn’t feel right” about tying the knot after seven years together.
“She’s exactly where she wants to be,” the source told People in March. “Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects.”
“What did make her overwhelmed though was her relationship and her wedding,” they explained. “She didn’t feel right about it.”
The insider added that Sweeney ultimately realized that she was no longer “ready to settle down.”
“They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off,” the source claimed. “They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”
Sweeney had also been linked to her “Anyone But You” co-star, Glen Powell, although she and the 36-year-old actor later dispelled those romance rumors.
As for Braun, he was married to health activist Yael Cohen, 38, from 2014 until their separation in 2021. The former couple share children Jagger, 10, Levi, 8, and Hart, 6.
The retired music manager, who was embroiled in a lengthy and nasty feud with Taylor Swift for years, recently opened up about how he struggled with suicidal thoughts after finding himself in a “very dark place” amid his split from Cohen.
“I had a suicidal thought for 20 minutes where I was like, if my marriage is going to fall apart, I’m not gonna be with my kids all the time,” Braun said on the “Diary of a CEO” podcast in June. “I can’t control this.”
“I’m not gonna be this perfect image that I’ve presented to the world, he added at the time. “And if I can’t be this perfect image, I don’t want to be here.”
