A “house tour” of Sabrina Carpenter’s apartment won’t include a certain piece of technology.

In a cover story published on Tuesday, Sept. 2 for Interview Magazine, the pop star revealed that you won’t catch her watching TV.

“I don’t even have a TV in my apartment,” Carpenter, 26, told the publication. “It sounds like I’m so disconnected and old school, but when I’m here, I just listen to music.”

The “Espresso” hitmaker then noted how she listens to many classic artists.

“It’s kind of all I know to listen to. It’s what I was raised on,” said Carpenter. “Recently I’ve been listening to a lot of the Blue Nile.”

She said that “the ’70s are where I find a lot of comfort songs.”

“Obviously my love for bands like Fleetwood Mac and ABBA is endless, but I’m having so much fun discovering new albums,” added Carpenter.

The “Manchild” singer said that she discovers classic music on Spotify or at record stores,

“There’s so many artists you go back to and you’re like, ‘This wasn’t a hit? It’s a hit to me,'” said Carpenter.

She also noted that “sometimes albums are made to be albums.”

“It’s not like, ‘I know this album because it had the biggest songs on it,’ but more so that I feel a certain way when I listen to it from start to finish,” said Carpenter.

That was the “Go Go Juice” musician’s approach when it came to making Man’s Best Friend.

“I was like, ‘What if I was just writing exactly how I feel in this chapter?’ Maybe the album only spans two months of my life, but that period is documented. It gets to live forever that way,” said Carpenter.

Carpenter released her seventh studio album Man’s Best Friend on Friday, Aug. 29.

Man’s Best Friend follows her 2024 LP Short n’ Sweet, which featured hit singles “Espresso,” “Taste,” “Please Please Please” and “Bed Chem.”
