Austin Butler is having a case of FOMO when it comes to a certain wedding tradition.
During a recent appearance on SubwayTakes, host Kareem Rahma asked the Elvis actor to share his “take,” per the show’s format, and he replied, “I don’t think it’s fair that I’ve never been invited to a bachelor party.”
When Rahma, 39, responded, “I think that’s a damn shame,” Butler said, “It seems like such a fun time.”
The comedian then asked Butler why he thinks he’s never gotten a bachelor party invite, noting, “You seem like a fun guy.”
“I like to think I’m a fun guy,” the Oscar nominee agreed.
“You look like a classic fun guy in the sense that in the ’90s, on television, there would be, like, the cool neighbor who lives in the van,” Rahma joked, prompting Butler to exclaim, “Yeah, I’m the guy who lives in the van!”
As the pair’s back-and-forth banter continued, Rahma playfully accused Butler of trying to “get close” to him and “butter” him up in hopes of becoming the best man at his wedding (though the comedian is already married, to wife Karina Muslimova).
“Exactly, this is what I’m going for,” the Eddington star replied.
Rahma then said he was going to have a bachelor party, held in Ireland, and asked Butler where he would want to have his own bachelor celebration.
“We could do a joint thing. This sounds really fun,” he said. “I like this whole European pub crawl.”

When Rahma queried, “You want to do a joint one?” Butler replied, “I don’t know, that’s probably too romantic.”
The segment ended with Butler asking the comedian, “Would you be my best man?” and just as Rahma opened his mouth to answer, a “To Be Continued…” message appeared on-screen, leaving viewers in suspense.
In recent weeks, Butler has been busy promoting his latest film, Caught Stealing, which he stars in alongside Zoë Kravitz.
Speaking with Variety about the movie — in which he plays Hank Thompson, an ex-baseball player who finds himself in a dangerous treasure hunt across New York City — Butler, who is known for method acting, shared how he got into character on the set. It involved one particularly embarrassing moment, he revealed.
“I played music, I danced around and I ate Chinese food in there,” he said of the set, which served as his character’s East Village apartment. “It made me feel like I really lived there.”

“I slept there all night,” he continued, “and I woke up to the crew coming in while I was in my underwear.”
Caught Stealing is in theaters now.
