Our favorite player props for the new season
It’s time to build out your futures portfolio ahead of the NFL season.
There are thousands of potential wagers on the board ahead of the 2025 NFL season, but I’ve whittled it down to a handful that are flying under the radar as we get ready to christen a new campaign.
Let’s start with the Packers, who are now among the Super Bowl favorites thanks to an earth-shattering trade that landed Green Bay with Micah Parsons to help lead them to run at the Super Bowl.
Josh Jacobs 15+ regular season rushing touchdowns scored (+550, DraftKings) | Lead the league in rushing touchdowns (20/1, BetRivers)
Josh Jacobs was undervalued before the trade for Parsons completely changed the landscape of the NFC North, and odds have not shifted enough to the other surrounding pieces.
Jacobs to lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns has not moved at all since the trade announcement, and that’s a mistake.
The Packers figure to be winning far more often than they were last season, when Jordan Love suffered a nasty-looking leg injury and was clearly playing at less than 100 percent the rest of the way.
Through all of that, Jacobs scored 15 rushing touchdowns, but that’s actually underselling how good he was last season.
Jacobs scored 14 touchdowns in his final 10 games of the NFL season, with at least one touchdown in each of his final eight.
Betting on the NFL?
He also scored three in one game twice during that span.
This trade should be a boon for his stock, as the Packers will be leading games far more often than they trail this season.

Tee Higgins leads the NFL in receiving touchdowns (25/1, BetMGM)
The Bengals have done absolutely nothing to fix their defense, but that’s no concern for us here.
Top receiver Ja’Marr Chase received an astounding 175 redzone targets last season while scoring 17 times and clearly leading the league in the category.
If Chase were to miss time, he’d be the clear favorite in this market.
It’s a full bet on an injury, either.
Higgins’ touchdown rate per target was 30.7 percent in the red zone, ranking sixth in the NFL.
Higgins is among the best receivers in the NFL, and 25 is just too small a number for a team that will be in shootouts every week.
