However, that hardly tells the story of the lively evening.
“The bold stage design of Boone’s show allows for maximum athleticism, with red lacquered stairs lining the sides of a circular stage and hydraulic platforms providing the launch pads for the frequent airborne antics that must make his insurance company weep,” USA Today gushed in a rave review of the opening night concert.
“Boone pulled out every trick in his repertoire, radiating with the intensity of a vaudeville-era star playing to the cheapest seats in the house,” The Pioneer Press added. “…in addition to his back flips (I lost count at five), Boone spent the 95-minute show sprinting up and down the catwalk that stretched across the arena floor, stopping to grab fans’ hands in the pit below and staring directly into the cameras that followed his every move, beaming his mug to the entire sold-out arena.”
Now, that sounds like a show.
If this sounds like the over-the-top, energetic performance for you, tickets are available for all 40 remaining Benson Boone concerts including his gig at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Friday, Sept. 5.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one show was $50 including fees on Vivid Seats.

Benson Boone new music
On June 20, Boone released his sophomore album “American Heart.”
He didn’t waste much time to start having fun.
The sleek, hard-charging “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else” gets things underway and establishes the ebullient tone with its singalong chorus and hair-raising tempo changes. This one is sure to get even the most stone-faced concertgoer bopping along in no time.
Next up, comes the high-kicking, strutter “Mr. Electric Blue,” which sounds like The Killers in a higher register. From there, the young singer-songwriter drops a pair of toe tappers with the hypnotic “Man In Me” and smoky “Reminds Me Of You” before diving to earnest balladry with the epic “Momma Song.” This soaring weepy may read as a bit too syrupy sincere for some but anyone with a mother should be able to appreciate the sentiment.
Still, when all is said and one, the highlight here has to be the dreamy ’70s throwback “Mystical Magical.” Its honey-dripped vocals mixed with twinkly, deceptively simple piano build to an Electric Light Orchestra-like falsetto crescendo that snaps the laid-back tune into sharp focus. For our money, this is pop rock at its finest. Catchy, lightweight and incredibly danceable. We’re fully onboard.
To hear for yourself, you can find “American Heart” in its glorious entirety here.
