Jason Kelce loses it over Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift engagement
Jason Kelce sent a special, NSFW message to his younger brother Travis Kelce and future sister-in-law Taylor Swift after the couple announced their engagement on Tuesday.
In a promo video for Wednesday’s installment of the “New Heights” podcast, Jason gave a shoutout to the Chiefs’ star tight end, who proposed to the “Cruel Summer” singer at his home in Missouri.

“There is one gigantic piece of new news that just hit the waves,” Jason said. “We did record this podcast on Monday, which was Travis’ one day off, so he is not here to address this himself. But we felt it was necessary as a team here at ‘New Heights’ to get together send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged. Yeah! The proposal heard around the world! F–k yeah!”
The Eagles legend, who retired in March 2024 after 13 seasons with Philadelphia, celebrated with Brandon Borders and Jake Chatzky, both of whom are producers for the “New Heights” podcast.
Jason also celebrated the success of Swift’s internet-breaking appearance on the podcast last week — where she revealed the Oct. 3 release of her 13th album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” and discussed her and Travis’ relationship in depth.
“Unfortunately [this episode] probably won’t be as good as the last episode of ‘New Heights’ where we set our own records, we set podcasting records, we set a Guinness Book of world records. That’s right. Thanks to the one and only Taylor Swift for hopping on and deciding to talk with two complete idiot dudes that don’t know anything about the music industry, and it was a doozy,” Jason said.
Travis and Taylor, who began dating in 2023, announced their engagement on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a carousel of photos taken in a garden filled with pink and white flowers.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the couple captioned the joint post, which was set to her track “So High School” from 2024’s “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Travis proposed to Taylor with a rectangle-cut diamond with antique references and a silver band, which he co-designed with his jeweler Kindred Lubeck and Artifex Fine Jewelry.
Travis, who’s entering his 13th NFL season, proposed to Taylor at his Leawood, Kansas, estate, the home he purchased in 2023 for more privacy amid the couple’s whirlwind romance, according to Page Six.
In an interview with News 5 in Cleveland, his father, Ed, revealed the proposal took place nearly two weeks ago at the All-Pro tight end’s home.
