Inside La Tomatina, the ‘world’s biggest food fight’ in Spain: Photos
La Tomatina, held in Buñol, Spain, is celebrated as the world’s biggest food fight. On August 27, 2025, thousands of revelers from around the globe gathered for the event. For one chaotic hour, participants pelted each other with overripe tomatoes, transforming the streets into a sea of red. What began in the 1940s as a spontaneous food scuffle has since evolved into an internationally renowned festival, staged every year on the last Wednesday of August.
