Stream It Or Skip It: ‘Love Thy Nader’ On Hulu, Where Brooks Nader And Her Sisters Band Together Amid A Cheating Scandal
Brooks Nader, Mary Holland Nader, Grace Ann Nader, and Sarah Jane Nader are ready to take over the world in their new Freeform/Hulu series Love Thy Nader, which follows the four sister models as they work through life, love, and careers in New York City. While Freeform has somewhat struggled with its reality shows in the past, with some help from Hulu, Love Thy Nader has a much better chance at nabbing the attention of streamers. But does it have what it takes to finally end the network’s reality TV drought? We watched the first three episodes, and here’s what we think:
Opening Shot: The premiere episode opens with a montage introducing the Nader sisters as four girls who grew up going to church camp in a conservative small town in Louisiana and now live free-spirited lives as aspiring models in Manhattan.

The Gist: From the Louisiana Bayou to the Big Apple comes the four Nader sisters: Brooks, Grace Ann, Mary Holland, and Sarah Jane, all of whom are navigating young adulthood and budding modeling careers in New York City. Brooks, recently divorced, dives headfirst into a new relationship with her Dancing with the Stars partner Gleb Savchenko, only to find out that their connection was not as genuine as she thought. Grace Ann is the blunt, no-nonsense sister whose past partying habits resulted in an intervention from her family, though it should be noted that she was pre-med in college and recently got her Master’s degree. Mary Holland is looking to enter her “micro-retirement” by leaving her job on Wall Street to find out what she truly wants to do in life. And Sarah Jane, the youngest of the bunch, is navigating her queer identity in her otherwise conservative family.
What Shows Will This Remind You Of? Love Thy Nader will remind you of old-school Keeping Up With The Kardashians, when the sisters were just starting out in the modeling world, and they weren’t afraid to fight dirty or out cheating boyfriends on national television.
Our Take: Love Thy Nader has potential to become the next big reality TV phenomenon—and I don’t say that lightly. The girls have already made names for themselves in the modeling space, and on TikTok. With Brooks leading the pack at over 1 million Instagram followers, there’s no doubt that her sisters will skyrocket to fame after this show gives them a bit more exposure.
As I said before, Love Thy Nader is reminiscent of the early days of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The girls are young, beautiful women with a strong familial support system, and, most importantly for the sake of reality TV, they aren’t afraid to get into the mess. The moment Brooks decided to go through Gleb’s phone and found out he was allegedly sneaking around behind her back, I couldn’t help but remember the time Kim Kardashian tapped into an ex-boyfriend’s voicemail to find out he was cheating on her. It’s one of those shows that you can’t stop watching—and nothing is off-limits. Grace Ann is open about her potential alcohol problem. Sarah Jane is open about her sexuality. And Brooks isn’t afraid to out a lousy ex-boyfriend on camera. The formula for a successful reality show? Big personalities. Petty fights. Willingness to move forward. And laugh-out-loud moments. In just the first three episodes that I’ve seen of Love Thy Nader, these ladies have brought all of that and more.
Sex and Skin: Other than Brooks occasionally flashing her chest at the cameras or tonguing down Gleb in front of her parents, there’s no sex and skin.
Parting Shot: The episode ends with Brooks, behind a closed door, going through Gleb’s phone and uncovering his alleged infidelity.
Sleeper Star: Sarah Jane is the sleeper star. While she may be the youngest of the Nader sisters, Sarah Jane isn’t afraid to speak her mind—or act out in rebellion against her conservative roots. I mean, the girl literally got her nipples pierced in the premiere episode.
Most Pilot-y Line: “It’s so tox.” Either I’m not online enough, or “tox” is about to become the new cool way of saying “toxic.”
Our Call: STREAM IT. Love Thy Nader is as raw and real as reality TV gets.
