Fouad Chartouni asks $19.85M for Hamptons spec mansion
As the owner of the Upper East Side’s upscale Lowell Hotel since 1982, Lebanese-born developer Fouad Chartouni is known for his take on luxury. At the Lowell, which is gearing up to celebrate its centennial in 2027, the hotel suites far outnumber the rooms.
The same is true for a luxury resort-style spec house that Chartouni, who’s also a real estate developer and president of Kensico properties, has built in the Hamptons.

This 10,000-square-foot beach house, at 109 Hand Lane in Amagansett, is now on the market for $19.85 million.
Chartouni and his son Philipp have spent the last 18 months developing the the seven-bedroom dwelling with hospitality in mind. The gated property was built like a “five-star resort feel,” with a stone porte-cochère that opens to a fully decked-out retreat.
The front door opens to a foyer with Venetian plaster walls, a reclaimed beam ceiling, warm lighting and one of three private entrances to a home office with a limestone fireplace and a black marble bar.
Built for entertaining with ease, the residence also includes an elevator, a great room, a chef’s kitchen — and a main bedroom suite with a sitting area, a marble bath, two mahogany walk-in closets, two terraces and bonus space.
Three additional ensuite guest rooms are designed with a “room service station,” the listing notes, for late-night drinks and morning coffees.
There are also four second-story terraces overlooking the grounds. A finished basement boasts a private bar, a billiards room and a 275-bottle wine room.
Outside, the landscaped grounds include a pool, gas fire pits and stone patios. In addition, there’s a 2,000 square foot, two-story pool house with a mini bar, as well as a movie theater with doors that open to a cobblestone patio, a gym and an office.
The co-listing brokers are Douglas Elliman’s Kyle Rosko and Marcy Braun, and Corcoran’s Tim Davis.
