Taylor Swift ‘very supportive’ of ESPN’s Chiefs docuseries starring Travis Kelce



Those who were hoping to see less of Taylor Swift in NFL spaces will have to keep making due. 

The world-renowned pop star is featured in ESPN’s six-episode docuseries on the Kansas City Chiefs, “The Kingdom”, which chronicles the franchise’s 2024 season and follows several members of the team, including her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce.

Swift was “very supportive” of the recently released project, director Kristen Lappas told reporters. ,

All episodes of The Kingdom are currently available to stream on ESPN+.

Swift shook the NFL scene when she was first spotted supporting Kelce at a Chiefs game in September 2023. Since then, the singer and songwriter has frequented regular-season games and was in attendance at the last two Super Bowls to support her man.

She recently made an appearance on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, “New Heights”, setting records for viewership across multiple platforms.

Announcing her 12th album ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ to a peak of 1.3 million concurrent livestream viewers on YouTube, Swift’s episode drew the platform’s highest-ever podcast audience. 

In an interview with CNBC Sports in February, Chiefs CEO and Chairman Clark Hunt credited Swift for what he estimated to be a “30 percent growth in our fan base.”

He also noted that the organization saw a “big leap forward” last year with female fans and young female fans. 

“And I think Taylor’s a little bit a part of that,” Hunt said.

In the docuseries, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and defensive tackle Chris Jones reveal what it was like seeing Swift appear at an NFL game for the first time during the 2023 season. 

“We were in the locker room like, ‘Taylor Swift’s here.’ ‘Taylor Swift? For real? With Travis? Oh my God!’” the 31-year-old Jones said in the clip. “We were like, ‘Oh my God! Travis pulled Taylor Swift.’ “
