Mysterious headless corpse found rotting behind Nashville McDonald’s: ‘It’s pretty gory’



A mysterious headless corpse was found rotting in a wooded strip flanked by two fast-food joints in Tennessee — and cops have no idea how long it had been there, according to reports.

Authorities responded to the grim scene after a women stumbled upon a cluster of heavily decomposed bones in the woods behind a McDonald’s and Waffle House in Nashville Friday morning, WSMV reported.

A severely crumbling skull was then found roughly 100 feet from the gruesome decapitated remains, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

A woman stumbled upon the “severely decomposed grouping of skeletal remains” in the woods Friday morning. WSMV

“It is unclear at this point who this person is, how this person got there,” a police spokesperson said, adding that the gender and age of the unidentified skeletal corpse is still unknown.

“Given the heat and the woods and the nature of how this person was found it’s extremely difficult for officers to see and four our CSI team to photograph and capture.”

Officials have yet to confirm if the severed head belongs to the putrefying bones, the outlet reported.

The horrific discovery left workers at the quick-service eateries in shock.

“It’s pretty gory, that’s crazy,” worker Tom Keesee told the outlet.

Officials said CSI is have a tough time investigating due to the nature of the gruesome scene. WSMV

“I don’t even know what to say. We live in a big city. I don’t want to say killing are normal, but a headless body, that’s the next level.”

The investigation into the person’s identity and the circumstances surrounding their death is ongoing.
