The Coldplay kiss cam saga lives on.
The band’s frontman, Chris Martin, hesitated when a fan held up a sign stating that he wanted to propose to his partner during the former’s concert in London’s Wembley Stadium Friday.

“OK, now listen, my brother, I need you to nod as I do some basic security checks, OK?” the “Hymn for the Weekend” singer, 48, joked, per a video of the moment posted on TikTok.
As the audience laughed, he continued, “Is this person your partner? Yes? No one else’s partner? OK.”
Once he received an affirmative nod, Martin then sought further clarification, asking, “Are you cousins or siblings or anything weird like that? … Are you AI? Are you real people? OK, then I think we can continue.”
Martin’s cheeky line of questioning comes months after a couple went viral for getting caught seemingly cheating on their spouses at a Coldplay concert in the Boston-area.
The since-resigned Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his former head of HR Kristin Cabot were spotted on the kiss cam in July canoodling before they quickly hid from the cameras in fear and shame.
“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” Martin joked over the mic at the time.
The incident spawned a ton of memes and media attention, leading to Astronomer going so far as to hire the “Yellow” singer’s ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, as their “temporary spokesperson” in an ad.
Following Martin’s reaction to the proposal Friday, one person on social media remarked, “Poor Chris is traumatized lol,” while another agreed, “Poor Chris 😂 he’s gotta clear his audience now.”
However, the scandal is not stopping the British rocker from continuing to feature fans via a Jumbotron.
Last week, he said at a show in Hull, England, “Life throws you lemons and you’ve got to make lemonade. So, we are going to keep doing it because we are going to meet some of you.”
