Bronx shooting leaves at least 1 dead, four injured as weekend of violence in NYC erupts
A shooting battle in the Bronx left one person dead and four injured — with four more arrested and multiple firearms recovered from the mayhem, according to sources and the NYPD.
Bullets flew on Burke Avenue and Wickham Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday with police arriving to find one 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest and a 31-year-old man shot in the back, the NYPD said.

Both were transported to Jacobi Hospital in critical condition.
The 32-year-old was pronounced dead at Jacobi while the 31-year-old remains in critical condition, according to cops.
In the same time frame, three other people transported themselves to area hospitals with gunshot wounds, cops said.
A 17-year-old female walked in to Jacobi Hospital with a gunshot wound to the face.
At that same hospital a 29-year-old checked in with a gunshot wound to the back.
While a 42-year-old brought himself to Montefiore Nyack Hospital with a graze wound to the right arm.
All are in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
Four people have been taken in custody in connection to the violence and multiple firearms have been recovered, the NYPD said.
An investigation is ongoing.
