Rebecca Zamolo Welcomes Second Baby with Matt Slays (Exclusive)

Rebecca Zamolo is officially a mom of two!

The social media influencer, known for her videos on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, has welcomed her second baby with husband Matt Slays, sharing the news exclusively with PEOPLE. Their baby boy, Zander — whom they welcomed on Monday, Aug. 11 through a surrogate — joins big sister Zadie, 3.

“Every surrogacy journey is different, but for ours we felt so aligned and on the same page. Our surrogate was comfortable having us in the room for the delivery, and we were comfortable with her holding Zander after we saw him,” they tell PEOPLE.

“For us, it was about making sure he was welcomed into a room full of love. At the end of the day, both us and our surrogate and her husband shared the same goal — bringing a healthy, happy baby into the world,” they add.

Zamolo, 40, and Slays, 45, are quickly settling into being parents of two, but they share that they’re definitely feeling the family’s transition.

“It’s definitely been a transition, but what works for us is tag-teaming. We divide responsibilities so both kids feel loved and get one-on-one time,” Zamolo says. “For example, I’ll take care of Zander’s night routine while Matt spends time with Zadie, then we switch. It is the only way that works for us for making sure each of them gets quality time with both of us.”

As for their older daughter Zadie, the toddler is adjusting to having another little one in the house.

“Becoming a big sister has been such a sweet moment for Zadie,” they say. “While it’s been an adjustment, she’s excited about her baby brother and loves helping him.”

This past February, Zamolo announced she and her husband were expecting a second baby via surrogate. “Surrogacy has made it possible for us to grow our family and we are so grateful,” Zamolo and Slays told PEOPLE exclusively at the time.

Zamolo and Slays also shared a few exclusive photos with PEOPLE, which showed the couple and their toddler daughter holding up a series of sonogram images.

Zadie could also be seen holding a newspaper, The Baby News, in which there are articles titled “Promoted to Big Sister!” and “Our Family Is Growing!”
