Millie Bobby Brown shared plans to become a young mom before adopting baby girl with Jake Bongiovi

Millie Bobby Brown once shared that she wanted to be a young mom before adopting a baby girl with her husband, Jake Bongiovi.

“This has been my thing since before I met Jake,” the “Stranger Things” star, 21, revealed on the “Smartless” podcast in March.

“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19,” she added, referring to her mom, Kelly Brown, and dad, Robert Brown.

“I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me,” Brown added, explaining Bongiovi, 23, knew “how important” starting a family was to her.

“Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally,” she continued.

The actress recalled the model, whom she wed in May 2024, telling her that they couldn’t have kids until they were married.

“So that was his thing,” Brown said. “And my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future.”

“For me, I don’t see having your own child as really any different as adopting,” she continued, explaining that her “home is full of love for anyone and anything.”

“And so that is kind of what we stand by, Jake and I,” the “Damsel” star added. “The energy in our house is the door is always open.”

“We are always going to [want] to start a family, and it doesn’t matter in what way or when, but it will happen for sure,” Brown stated.

On Thursday, the “Enola Holmes” star and Bongiovi, who is the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley, announced they had welcomed a daughter via adoption.

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” they wrote in a joint Instagram statement.

“We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” the couple stated.

They signed off, writing, “And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”

Brown and Bongiovi, who first sparked romance rumors in June 2021, hosted a low-key ceremony when they tied the knot in May 2024 before throwing a larger celebration with their families in Italy later that year.
