Jets’ success largely will depend on the dominance of defensive line
Every successful team must have a calling card.
During the dynasty days in New England, the Patriots’ calling card was Tom Brady.
In the current NFL, the Chiefs’ calling card has been Patrick Mahomes (no, not Taylor Swift). The Super Bowl champion Eagles’ calling card is their offensive line — which is the best in the league, having paved the way for Saquon Barkley’s 2,000-yard rushing season and its protection of quarterback Jalen Hurts.
If the 2025 Jets are to have a calling card, it’s going to be their defensive front — featuring Quinnen Williams on the interior along with Jermaine Johnson and Will McDonald IV on the outside.
