Is the Margaret Qualley and Aubrey Plaza Movie ‘Honey Don’t’ Streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?

If you loved Drive-Away Dolls, I have good news for you: There’s another lesbian comedy directed by Ethan Coen and starring Margaret Qualley coming to movie theaters this weekend, and it’s called Honey Don’t!.

Directed by Coen, who also co-wrote the screenplay with his wife Tricia Cooke, Honey Don’t! is the second installment in what Coen and Cooke are calling their “lesbian B-movie trilogy,” following last year’s Drive-Away Dolls. (That said, Coen also clarified to The Hollywood Reporter that there are “no definite plans to do a third movie,” but we can hope.)

Qualley stars as a private detective named Honey O’Donahue, working to solve a murder case that involves a religious cult. Also on the case is MG Falcone (Aubrey Plaza), a police officer who we can only assume feels a spark with Honey. And Chris Evans co-stars as Reverend Drew Devlin, the cult leader himself.

Also starring Charlie Day, Kristen Connolly, Gabby Beans, Talia Ryder, and more, Honey Don’t! promises more funny, sexy, lesbian thrills. You don’t want to miss it, so read on to find out where to watch the Honey Don’t movie and when we expect to be able to watch Honey Don’t on streaming.

The Honey Don’t movie is only be available to watch in a movie theater right now. The film opened in U.S. theaters on August 22. You can find a showing near you via Fandango.  Honey Don’t is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Is the Honey Don’t movie streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime?

Honey Don’t is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Focus Features release. Focus Features is a subsidiary of Universal Studios, and almost all Universal movies go to the Universal-owned streaming platform, Peacock.

You will be able to purchase Honey Don’t on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Honey Don’t on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription any time soon. If you want to watch Honey Don’t movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Peacock.

When will the Honey Don’t movie be streaming on Peacock?

Honey Don’t is not yet streaming on Peacock. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see Honey Don’t streaming on Peacock eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another Focus Features/Universal release, The Phoenician Scheme, was released on digital after about one month in theaters, and it began streaming on Peacock about two months after opening in theaters.

If Honey Don’t follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital by late September 2025, and streaming on Peacock around late October 2025. However, because this is a highly anticipated release, it’s possible Universal may keep Honey Don’t in theaters for longer.

This is all speculation. Universal has not had a consistent release strategy for home media. If you want to watch the 2025 Honey Don’t movie right away, you can catch the movie in theaters.
