Aaron Phypers claims Denise Richards never made his adoption of daughter Eloise legal
Aaron Phypers claims his estranged wife, Denise Richards, never made his adoption of her 14-year-old daughter, Eloise, legal — despite him having signed adoption papers and raising Eloise as his own.
Phypers made the claim in court documents obtained by People. In the docs filed on Wednesday, he claimed Richards had him sign adoption papers for Eloise but she “failed” to file them.
Phypers said that he’s now legally without his daughter “despite raising her as his own,” and that Eloise is “his daughter by bond of over nine years.”
“This has caused immeasurable harm and demonstrates the imbalance [Richards] maintains in this matter,” he alleged in the docs.
Richards’ rep didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Eloise, who has a chromosome disorder, was an infant when Richards adopted her in 2011. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum also has two daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen: Sami, 21, and Lola, 20.
Phypers adopted Eloise in 2019, a year after he and Richards got married, People reported in February.
“It wasn’t even a decision. It just is,” Phypers said.
“She’s sweetheart,” he added. “I love her. I think of her as my own.”
On Instagram, Phypers refers to Eloise as his daughter.
Phypers, 52, and Richards, 54, are currently embroiled in an extremely contentious divorce after they split in July following six years of marriage.
On Wednesday, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum filed a request to remove Phypers from their rental home after learning he received an eviction notice for unpaid rent.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the “Wild Things” star asked the court to require the businessman, his parents and brother to vacate the Calabasas property so she could collect her items, including her dogs, without breaking the set temporary restraining order.
Richards also alleged that Phypers and his family “severely damaged” the house, describing the condition as being “in a state of disarray.”
Earlier this month, the police were called to the rental home after Richards showed up to pick up her dogs.
Phypers alleged that he “fear[ed] for his parents” when she aggressively showed up, according to 911 audio obtained by People.
