The Jets receivers in play to join Garrett Wilson on Opening Day roster

The Jets have less than a week to decide who to cut to get the roster from 90 players to 53. Those decisions must be made by 4 p.m. next Tuesday.

Realistically, most of the roster decisions have been made and the Jets are likely debating the last four or five spots.

The most interesting position to watch is wide receiver, where the Jets have Garrett Wilson … and everybody else.

It has felt like this for a while, and training camp has not really changed things. Could the Jets add a veteran such as Amari Cooper or Gabe Davis instead of going with what is on their roster? Maybe, but it feels as if that ship has sailed. Why do it now instead of a few months ago unless you really are panicking over what you saw in camp? I don’t sense the Jets are.
