Who Went Home On ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 10, Episode 8?

Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, Episode 8 was all about beach politics, with Chief Paradise Strategist Sean McLaughlin desperately trying to play 3D chess.

With love and half a million dollars on the line, host Jesse Palmer introduced a new challenge that put communication to the test. And after an unexpected “Secret Rendezvous,” contestants voted on which TWO couples would be eliminated. Paradise‘s two platonic duos — Keith and Kathy, and Lea and Jonathon — had clear targets on their backs. But did Sean’s political campaign sway the vote? And did he and his girl Allyshia survive the fallout?

With only 12 contestants remaining at the end of Season 10, Episode 8, Paradise is getting down to the wire. So who won this week’s challenge? And who went home on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, Episode 8? Decider’s got answers!

Who Won Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, Episode 8’s Chemistry Test?

It’s Treasure Hunk time! The challenge split couples up, with one person hunting for treasure, solving puzzles, and gathering keys, while their partner was locked in a giant treasure chest giving directions via walkie talkie. Once the hunter found all five keys, they could unlock the treasure chest and rescue their partner. The couple that crossed the finish line fastest would win a date and rose ceremony safety.

Only three couples completed the task: Allyshia and Sean, Bailey and Jeremy, and Spencer and Jess. The winner? SPENCER AND JESS, aka Paradise‘s strongest couple. They got a week of immunity and a romantic one-on-one tantric yoga date, where they each said they were “absolutely 100% falling in love” with each other. SOBBING!

The Parliament of Paradise

Sean (the Politician of Paradise), started ferociously strategizing against opponents, campaigning for votes, and stepping on *checks notes* everyone’s toes. “Having a dad that’s a politician, I’ve learned to think and operate in a certain way that gives me a leg up…I think about things kind of diabolically,” he said, outlining an elaborate plan to form alliances with Dale, Jeremy, and Andrew. He invited the bros to a Secret Rendezvous (which Andrew slept through) and pitched “The Parliament of Paradise,” a group that would stick together and take out Paradise‘s biggest threats: Spencer and Jess. LOL.

Naturally, the boys weren’t down to stab their precious pals in the backs. When the episode kicked off, the general consensus was to champion organic, authentic connections and send platonic pairs home. (Even Keith considered voting Kathy out to give real lovebirds a chance at the cash.) But Sean burned so many bridges ahead of the rose ceremony that the OG STRATEGY went out the window…

Who Went Home On Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, Episode 8? Rose Ceremony Recap:

After contestants voted, the rose ceremony revealed the following couples were safe:

  • Jess and Spencer
  • Alexe and Andrew
  • Bailey and Jeremy
  • Kat and Dale
  • Kathy and Keith

Before Jesse revealed which two couples were going home, Sean’s campaign manager, Allyshia, interrupted: “Sean and I came into Paradise looking for love. We didn’t know what else it was going to entail. And the one thing we’re not willing to compromise is our character and integrity, and to have that questioned is very difficult to hear. But we would like to make the decision to leave together on our own accord. We are leaving here with something so much more valuable than money could ever buy and will continue our relationship back in Tampa and get a big fat bucket of popcorn to watch this all back.”

On their way out, both Allyshia and Sean shit-talked their Paradise pals. So they didn’t plan to leave with integrity, so much as they wanted to save face ahead of their inevitable elimination. Jesse confirmed they were headed home anyway, then revealed Paradise‘s second platonic couple, Jonathon and Lea, were safe! Instead, Parisa and Brian were sent packing. Until next time!
