Target this bet for Carlos Rodon vs. Shane Baz

The Yankees got right against the St. Louis Cardinals and now head to Tampa to face the Rays in a de facto home game at George Steinbrenner Field.

Manager Aaron Boone’s group needed those wins badly, and they enter Tuesday preparing for a series opener in which they will be moderate favorites behind Carlos Rodón.

Tampa Bay counters with talented, albeit inconsistent, starter Shane Baz (8-9, 4.93 ERA).

The Yankees are -145 favorites at BetMGM on Tuesday night, with the total set at eight total runs.

Rodón has been solid, pitching to the tune of a 3.25 ERA and a 12-7 record.

Entering played Monday, the Rays ranked No. 14 in the majors in runs scored per game (4.45).

They basically can’t hit lefty pitching, posting a league-worst .228 average against southpaws this season. Their 3.56 runs per game in the past 30 games ranks Tampa Bay 27th in the majors.

It’s going to be a tough night at the office for the Rays, whose lineup features lefty-hitting Chandler Simpson and Brandon Lowe at the top.

In terms of betting on this game, there’s little reason to target the moneyline.
