AEW’s Adam Copeland-Christian Cage hug was 14 years in the making

It was as monumental a hug as we’ve seen in a long time in pro wrestling, lifelong friends Adam Copeland and Christian Cage embracing in the ring on Dynamite.

It completed a trilogy of hugs for them in AEW, from “Go f–k yourself’ to “Go find yourself” to this, the reunion of one of the greatest tag teams ever for one final run. 

We almost thought AEW was going to wait a little longer, but Copeland then pulled the former heel Cage in as he was trying to leave the ring after he returned the favor and saved him from an attack this time. 

This is something we never, ever thought we would see after Copeland had to retire in 2011 because of a neck injury and Cage in 2014 due to concussion-related injury.
