Sandy Brondello says there are no excuses for Liberty’s ugly skid
MINNEAPOLIS — Liberty guard Natasha Cloud was annoyed, borderline defensive, after Friday’s practice as she pondered questions about her team.
The same competitive fire that has made her a three-time All-Defensive player is now being turned on Liberty doubters.
“It’s asinine to have the roster that we’ve had all season long and to receive the criticism that we have,” Cloud said. “We still have enough in this locker room. But you take any major piece out of any other team, they’re losing games. So I think there needs to be a little bit of grace and patience.”
The Liberty are facing what many championship teams have to deal with: two conflicting ideologies — unintentional but present nonetheless.
