CBS Sports selected a few high-profile rookies who balled out — Jaxson Dart and Abdul Carter of the New York Giants, Shedeur Sanders of the Cleveland Browns, and TreVeyon Henderson of the New England Patriots — while also noting a few of the “losers” from Week 1 (the Cincinnati Bengals defense, Anthony Richardson, and Kyler Murray, to name a few).
The second week of preseason football concludes with the first (and last) Monday Night Football game of the exhibition slate as the Washington Commanders host the Cincinnati Bengals at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN. But what about tonight?

Is Thursday Night Football On Tonight (August 14)?
Nope. Sorry, gang. There’s no Thursday Night Football on tonight.
There will be two Thursday night games next week (August 21) as the Carolina Panthers host the Pittsburgh Steelers at 7:00 p.m. ET on NFL Network and the New England Patriots battle the New York Giants at 8:00 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
When Does The Next Preseason NFL Football Game Air?
NFL preseason action continues on Friday, August 15 with two games:
- Tennessee Titans @ Atlanta Falcons: 7:00 p.m. ET on NFL Network
- Kansas City Chiefs @ Seattle Seahawks: 10:00 p.m. ET on NFL Network
Eleven preseason games will air on Saturday, August 16, and two matchups will take place on Sunday, August 17. The first and only Monday Night Football preseason game is scheduled for Monday, August 18 (Bengals @ Commanders: 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN).
