Shedeur Sanders suffers injury at practice in sudden Browns worry
Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders injured his oblique while throwing early in Day 1 of joint practices with the Eagles on Wednesday, the team said.
Sanders, who had an impressive preseason debut on Saturday, was held out for the remainder of practice. He was in uniform.
The injury news comes two days after Sanders — Cleveland’s 144th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft — received the most reps in practice.

The former Colorado star shined in his preseason debut in a 30-10 win over the Carolina Panthers on Friday.
Sanders completed 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdown passes in the first half to wide receiver Kaden Davis.
Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski said earlier Wednesday that Sanders is in line to start his second preseason game, though that now appears to be in jeopardy.
If Dillon Gabriel and Kenny Pickett aren’t available due to hamstring injuries, Sanders is next on the depth chart.
Veteran Joe Flacco is currently listed as the No. 1 quarterback.
