NYPD cop at Yankees game goes viral after spotted on camera in awkward moment
An NYPD officer who was spotted on camera flashing a prolonged glance as a woman walked by — while he was on patrol at Yankee Stadium Monday night — went instantly viral as people speculated he was checking out the female fan.
Social media erupted during the New York Yankees’ game against the Minnesota Twins Monday night when YES Network cameras picked up the officer in the bottom of the first inning.
As he stood guard, a man and then a woman walked by and the officer’s eyes appeared to be glued to the woman’s path for a few seconds, leading to the instant online reaction.

“I don’t have enough friends to send this too I’m dead,” one X user wrote. Another wrote, “I saw it live & broke out in tears. They kept the camera on him for a solid [second] too.”
“How blatant could it be…jeez louise!” another commenter mused.
But some thought the cop wasn’t up to anything scandalous.
“That guy was checking that the girl not have a gun,” another user speculated. “The official doing his job.”
Meanwhile, some X users took issue with YES Network focusing on the officer for so long, and others took issue with accounts putting him on blast.
“Why the hell they highlight the guard for that long lmao,” one account wrote while another user chimed in, “Wow way to expose the guy.”

“It’s fine if you wanna send that to your friends and have a laugh,” another account bemoaned. “But did you really need to plaster this poor guy’s face publicly on social media?”
The game ended in a 6-2 Yankees’ win as the Bronx Bombers look to sweep Minnesota Wednesday after taking the first two games of the three game set.
