How Knicks’ new look may help Mikal Bridges, Karl-Anthony Towns
In analyzing the change from Tom Thibodeau to Mike Brown, a lot of debate has centered on the new Knicks coach relying on his bench much more.
Thibodeau was well-known for riding his starters, and the Knicks added quality bench pieces in Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele to give their new coach a deeper roster.
But there is some thought that Brown could unlock more out of two key players: Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns.
It was an up-and-down first season as a Knick for Bridges. There were some bright moments, particularly in the second-round upset of the Celtics. But also not nearly enough consistency, particularly on the offensive end.
