New clip shows hostage Rom Braslavski warning he’s near death
A twisted new Hamas propaganda clip depicts sickly thin Israeli hostage Rom Braslavski warning he is on the “verge of death” — prompting his desperate mother to beg the world for help.
The emaciated 22-year-old can be seen rolling on the floor clutching his stomach in the sickening footage as he begs Israel to send food and water to Gaza, just days after Hamas released another shocking clip of him starving — as well as hostage Evyatar David being forced to dig his own grave.
“I am on the verge of death and I’m sure that like me all the other prisoners are in the same mental and physical state,” Braslavski said in the newly released 90-second edited video.
“Please, stop this hell that we are in. Please, stop this suffering that we are in.”
His family agreed to release the clip Monday, after the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group blasted out a fuller 6-minute version last week, of which only portions were aired.
In the newly released clip, a ghostly Braslavski revealed he was no longer able to stand up or walk due to pain in his feet.
“I am suffering with pain that doesn’t look good in my foot. I can’t stand, and I can’t walk to the bathroom,” he said, adding later that he now lies on a thin mattress 24 hours a day.
“I’ve run out of food and water. If before, yes, they would give me a little bit. Today, there is nothing at all. Three pieces of falafel, that’s what I ate today. Yesterday, I barely at a plate of rice.
“I can’t sleep. I can’t live. You have to stop what you’re doing here. What’s wrong with you? What’s gotten into you? Why are you doing this to us? Bring in food. I am surviving on less than a liter of water,” he added.
At one point, Braslavski can be seen keeled over with bruises visible on his arms and legs.
His heartbroken mom, Tami Braslavski, said she hadn’t been able to function since she first watched the footage.
“My heart is shattered and my mind is consumed all day with thoughts and overwhelming worry for Rom,” she said in a statement approving the publication of the video.
“Rom has become so emaciated that his body can barely support itself. Every bone in his body aches. He can’t sit, lie down, or stand because he’s so painfully thin — nothing but skin and bones.
“Rom’s vision is failing and he needs glasses, which he doesn’t have there. When I look into Rom’s eyes, I see tears streaming down his face, and I cry with him,” she said.
“There isn’t a single spark of hope left in his eyes. Tragically, despair, anger, and frustration have replaced his will and hope to come home.”
His family had earlier revealed Braslavski’s emaciated appearance was so shocking that they didn’t initially recognize him.
Braslavski, who was working as a security guard at the Nova music festival when he was kidnapped by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023, is among the remaining 20 or so Israeli hostages believed to still be alive.
Footage of Braslavski and David had emerged as the twisted terror group continued to stall negotiations to release the remaining living captives.
It comes, too, amid global outrage over the starvation crisis currently plaguing the Palestinian enclave.
President Trump, for his part, has repeatedly urged Hamas to free the remaining hostages and bring an end to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
“The fastest way to end the Humanitarian Crises in Gaza is for Hamas to SURRENDER AND RELEASE THE HOSTAGES!!!,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post last week.
