Girlfriend of Travis and Jason Kelce’s father Ed dead at 74

Maureen Maguire, the girlfriend of Ed Kelce — the father of NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce — has died.

She was 74.

Ed Kelce posted on his Facebook page Saturday a link to Maguire’s obituary, which described her as a “devoted mother” with “impeccable taste” and as a “natural hostess.”

The obits posted by Stretch Funeral Home in the Philadelphia area also noted that Maguire “passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.”

“She also grew an unexpected love for football later in life, sharing many laughs and adventures with her beloved friend Ed Kelce and her loyal dog Butch,” the obituary read. “Together, they traveled often and attended football games and concerts, and embraced every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest.”

In a 2024 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Ed Kelce told a funny story about Maguire getting to know Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift.

While Swift posed for a photo with Ed Kelce, Maguire reportedly joked, “Hey, that’s my boyfriend,” causing Swift to laugh.

Ed Kelce was married to Travis and Jason’s mother, Donna, for 25 years, raising their family in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, but they divorced more than 10 years ago.

The two brothers faced each other in Super Bowl LVII between the Chiefs and the Eagles in Feb. 2023.

Maguire is survived by three children, six grandchildren and two siblings, according to the obituary.
