And Just Like That… Season 3 Episode 10 Ending Explained: Do Carrie and Duncan Have Sex?
Yes, Carrie and Duncan have sex this week on And Just Like That...! The neighbors-turned-writing buddies have officially gone all the way. However, getting there wasn’t always certain.
This week’s And Just Like That… opens by revealing that Carrie is thriving after her break up with Aidan. She’s been on a productive hot streak with her novel and Duncan is still obsessed with it. In fact, Carrie can recognize that she’s able to do this because Aidan is gone.
Carrie can also now recognize that there is a vibe brewing between her and Duncan. She confides in Seema that what’s different about him is that he respects her as a person, first and foremost. He values her intellect, talent, and personality, whereas Big (Chris Noth) and Aidan saw her only romantically. Later in the same episode, as Duncan flirtatiously tries to ask Carrie out, he even gushes over her wardrobe as something to be treasured, admired, and shown off, and not a shallow girlish interest she has. (He actually gets Carrie!)
Carrie eventually decides to accept Duncan’s invitation to a party his publisher is throwing and arrives in a gorgeous Vivienne Westwood. When the two return home, Duncan asks Carrie if she’d like to come down to his place, but she initially declines. Then, she changes her mind. They kiss.
We join them post-coital and Duncan reveals that he’s going back to England to focus on his book. His time with Carrie has come in the way of his work and he likes her too much to not be distracted by her. So, like mature adults, they enjoy each other’s company and part on great terms.
What’s now unclear is if And Just Like That… will keep Duncan away from Carrie for good or if he’ll return once his book is finished. However, even if Duncan and Carrie don’t live happily ever after, their hookup puts Carrie back on track to enjoy her life to the fullest.
