Alexa Bliss on ‘navigating’ complicated Charlotte Flair relationship as they eye WWE gold at SummerSlam

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair’s relationship is entering a different phase on and off the screen in WWE.

The two have known each other for more than a decade, dating back to their time in NXT and have recently captured the hearts of the WWE audience as a reluctant tag team. 

The 33-year-old Bliss, who credits Flair with taking her under her wing in NXT as she came in with no wrestling background, said it came together organically with the idea of doing something “fresh” for the two veteran characters. Outside of their 2017 Survivor Series match, their only major program together centered around the Raw women’s championship in 2021.

Working together now has allowed them to show fans something different.
