January Jones’ son, 13, is as tall as actress in rare red carpet appearance
January Jones’ 13-year-old son is as tall as she is.
The actress, 47, brought her teenager, Xander Jones, to Oceana’s 18th Annual SeaChange Summer Party on Saturday in Laguna Beach, Calif., for a rare family outing.
The mother-son duo posed for pictures together on the red carpet, where Xander showed off his impressive height.
The “Mad Men” star looked elegant in a black A-line midi dress with matching strappy heels and a sleek headband.
Xander, for his part, kept things more casual with a striped cream-colored polo, matching slacks and black Adidas sneakers.
He completed his look with simple gold chains.
January has not revealed the identity of Xander’s father, telling The New York Times in May 2013, “That’s my son’s business. It’s not the public’s business.”
She assured Red magazine four years later that her son had various male influences in his life.
“Xander has a lot of bro time with the neighbor dads and my dad, who is super young,” she explained in September 2017, adding that her male friends “want to be around him because he’s such a fun kid.”
She also shared that Xander “doesn’t have a male person in his life saying ‘don’t cry’ or ‘you throw like a girl’ — all those s–tty things dads accidentally do.”
According to January, “It’s good to have strong women around a man to teach him to respect women.”
The “X-Men: First Class” star was single at the time of the interview and preferred life that way.
“Yes, I’m willing to make that sacrifice for the right relationship — I just don’t feel I need a partner. Do I want one? Maybe. But I don’t feel unhappy or lonely,” she shared.
January elaborated that “it would have to be someone so amazing that [she] would want to make room. Someone who would contribute to [her] happiness and not take away from it.”
While she acknowledged that she had “very high expectations” and would “probably have to compromise,” she maintained that her “life is so full.”
