Survivor of Bryan Kohberger’s Idaho massacre raises $50,000 for her ‘healing journey’
One of the surviving roommates of the University of Idaho murders has raised $50,000 for her recovery in just two days
The GoFundMe for Dylan Mortensen, one of two people who was not killed by Bryan Kohberger in the house in November 2022, was started by her aunts to help her rebuild her life following the traumatic experience.
“It’s been two and a half years of Dylan silently and bravely putting one foot in front of the other, cooperating with law enforcement, processing, and healing from the unimaginable,” the appeal reads.
“Dylan has had to learn how to live in her new reality – forever lacking peace, security, safety and her closest friends,” it continues.
The fundraiser, which had raised more than $48,000 as of Tuesday afternoon, will pay for “relocation, intensive long-term trauma therapy, and extra security and privacy measures” for Mortensen, who bravely faced down killer Kohberger in court last week.
