Aaron Glenn’s Jets plan will require patience when reality hits
On a scorching hot day Tuesday, the Jets offense looked ice-cold.
It was a sloppy, slow practice for Justin Fields & Co. as they seemed to be moving in slow motion until they finished with a nice 2-minute drive. Maybe it was the oppressive heat. Maybe it was being a week into training camp. Maybe it was players looking forward to a day off Wednesday.
Whatever it was, it served as a reminder that this won’t be a straight line for Aaron Glenn and this new Jets regime.
We’re in the season of happy talk. Everyone is in the best shape of their lives. Everyone thinks the new coaching staff is going to be great. Everyone is undefeated.
