After a two-week delay, the new season of South Park finally debuted on Comedy Central. The Season 27 premiere was delayed due to Paramount+ and South Park co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s inability to sign a new streaming deal before the show’s original July 2 premiere date.

Thankfully, with mere hours to spare before Season 27 dropped, both parties agreed to a new five-year pact for a reported $1.5 billion that includes 50 new episodes over five seasons. Seasons 1-26 of South Park are once again streaming on Paramount+, and new episodes will be available for next-day streaming on the platform.
