Princess Charlotte makes surprise appearance with Prince William at Euro 2025
The Lionesses have a royal fan in Princess Charlotte!
The 10-year-old daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton watched the British women’s soccer team take on Spain at the 2025 UEFA European Women’s Championship in Switzerland on Sunday alongside her dad.
Charlotte sported a navy blue polka-dot dress and flashed a smile in a picture posted on Will and Kate’s official Instagram account. Will, 43, beamed as he put his arm around his only daughter, looking sharp in a black suit and a striped tie.
“Let’s go Lionesses! 🏴,” the caption read.
Will later shared a photo of himself and Charlotte posing with members of team Spain via Instagram Stories.
“Bring on the second half! May the best team win!” he wrote.
Charlotte appeared serious during the match as she watched the game intently.
Ahead of the championship, Will sent the British soccer team well-wishes in an Instagram Stories post.
“Good luck to the Lionesses tomorrow,” he wrote Saturday. “The nation is so proud you are through to the final after some stunning comebacks! We are all cheering you on!”
Charlotte appears to be a huge sports fan like her parents. She made another surprise appearance at Wimbledon earlier this month alongside Will and Kate, as well as her older brother, 12-year-old Prince George.
While Charlotte looks comfortable in the spotlight, Will and Kate are reportedly trying to protect her from the struggles Prince Harry has endured as the “spare” heir to the British throne, royal biographer Robert Hardman said in May.
“The late Queen [Elizabeth II] was always very conscious of that extraordinary and challenging role of the No. 2,” Hardman told People.
“That’s why she had a particular soft spot for [her sister] Margaret, for [her son] Andrew and [grandson] Harry,” Harman continued. “She understood being second place in a strictly hierarchical family and institution has its challenges. Everyone is conscious of that.”
