‘Bachelor’ alum Becca Tilley and Hayley Kiyoko engaged
Becca Tilley and Hayley Kiyoko are engaged after dating for seven years.
The couple shared the news via Instagram on Thursday with a carousel of pictures that captured the romantic proposal.
“My dream girl said yes to forever…” Kiyoko wrote in the caption.
Fans and fellow Bachelor Nation alums flooded the comments with congratulatory messages.
The “Bachelorette” star JoJo Fletcher, gushed, “My girls! I love yall so much and cannot wait to see this beautiful next chapter unfold for the two of you!! ❤️❤️❤️”
Tilley, 36, and Kiyoko, 34, first met in April 2018 when the former reality star attended a party celebrating the singer’s debut album, “Expectations.”
“I think it was just an instant connection,” Tilley told Entertainment Tonight in December 2019 while still keeping Kiyoko’s identity private. “I’ve never had something so instant from the beginning.”
After years of speculation, they hinted at their relationship in Kiyoko’s
“For the Girls” music video in May 2022.
Tilley starred in the video, which was a satirical take on the first night of “The Bachelorette.”
The duo further fueled dating rumors at the release party for the music video, where they were seen kissing in a fan’s TikTok post.
A day later, they went Instagram-official and finally confirmed they were dating.
“hard to say if this is a hard or soft launch, but it is a launch ❤️,” Tilley captioned the Instagram reel.
The influencer admitted she initially had “fear and hesitancy” about the public’s reaction to her relationship with Kiyoko.
“I think I had a certain image that people had of me, and I think there was a lot of fear and hesitancy specifically around the ‘Bachelor’ fanbase,” she said on Amazon Live with Kiyoko in June 2022.
“I honestly wish I had given them more credit because everyone has been so kind and supportive and loving,” Tilley continued.
“It made me realize that people were just rooting for me to find love; they didn’t care who it was with as long as I found happiness. I felt like I have found so much support.”
Tilley also revealed Kiyoko makes her feel “brave” in a May 2022 episode of her podcast “Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad.”
“So I was prepared for anything and everything, but I was not prepared for the amount of love and support that we got,” the former reality star tearfully said.
“Hayley has really made me feel brave, and she was always like, ‘People love you, and they want to see you happy.’ And I’m just so thankful for [our fans].”
